You keep on walking through the bamboo until you can see some sort of structure in the distance. As you keep going, you see that the structure is some kind of temple. You peek through the bamboo to find a couple actual, Chinese dragons by it playing together.

Talpi: I wonder if they can help…

You see dragons playing.

Anaid: Oh great, more monsters to deal with. I’m not here.

You crouch down in Talpi’s fur to make sure the dragons don’t see you. They seem to be acting friendly towards Talpi. They act like they are friends. Oh crap they’re sniffing him, you hope they don’t find you.

You clear your throat before speaking to the playing dragons. They are now playing attention to you.

Talpi: Uh…hi there. I wanna get into this temple here, I kinda…need something from it.

One of the dragons sniffs you a bit then pulls back.

Dragon: Ok! I’ll go get my dad, he can probably help you.

The one dragon flies off.

Talpi: Ok th-wait, DAD?! Dude…If those are babies…then what does the grown up look like?

Anaid: I’d rather not think about it, I’ll still be hidding in your fur if you need me sweet heart.

You hear various growling and other noises. Talpi must be making nice with the adult dragon. You feel yourself being lifted off the ground.

Anaid: Oh not again!

You wait for a little before being covered by a huge shadow. A dragon much bigger than you is above you. You hunch in fear.

Dragon: Yes, what you you want?

Talpi: Oh, um…I-I need to get in the temple

Dragon: For what? Our most prized relic, the Rainbow Scale, is in there, and that is all. What could it do for you?

Talpi: I…need it for a problem I have. I saw it in a vision..sort of, it was in a box, I guess…I think it could help.

The dragon just stares at you and makes you nervous.

Dragon: Okay, I’ll let you in…seeing something like that in a vision must be important. Follow me young one, the entrance is at the top.

The dragon flies and you follow it to the top of the temple.

As you succumb to vertigo, you hear Talpi’s stomach let out a loud growl. Not again.

Anaid: I hope the other dragon doesn’t take that as an insult.

The other dragon and Talpi growl at each other some more and then you feel Talpi land. You see a large mess of food laid out before Talpi.

Anaid: Oh great they asked us to dinner!

When you reach the top of the temple, you see a ton of food at the top. You are beginning to feel hungry…again.

Dargon: Feel free to eat what you wish while I open the temple for you.

Talpi: Uh…that’s, um, really kind…thanks.

You stare at the food. You are aware that eating makes you grow…but you’re sooo hungry. You decide to take a small bite of food. It causes you to grow a bit, but it’s unnoticeable. You see the other dragon insert his claws into some slot. He turns it and a door slowly opens.

Dragon: There you go, good luck.

Talpi: Oh, thank you very much!

You jump into the opening of the temple and land inside. It’s dark and musty, but you still have your night vision so you can still see in the dark clearly.

Talpi: Are you ok Annie?

Anaid: Just peachy.

You say that with sarcastic oozing from your mouth. You can’t see your own hand in front of your face. You cling to Talpi. You miss being able to hold his hand… You venture further into the temple. You trip over some object on the ground.

You notice that your matesprit fell, tripping over somthing.

Talpi: Annie, are you alright? What did you trip over?

You look at where Anaid tripped. It was a wire that is now snapped. You feel something fly over your head.

Talpi: What was th-OW!

You feel something stab one of your shoulders. You see that it’s a dart. You then see more flying towards the both of you.

Talpi: Aw dammit, it’s a boobie trap, get down!

You crouch, grabbing Anaid, avoiding any flying darts.

How cliche that this place has boobie traps.

The darts suddenly stop flying and you sit back up.

Talpi: Ok, we ought to be more careful…oof!

As you put weight on the the shoulder that got hit, you stumble. Your entire leg is numb.

Talpi: Dammit, those darts must have had a poison in them and spread from my shoulder, I can’t feel my arm…leg, thing.

You sigh and continue to walk, limping while doing so. It wasn’t too difficult with three extra limbs to support you.

Anaid: Oh love, I’m sorry.

You continue to let Talpi lead the way in this weird temple. You come to a large room. It’s very well lit.

Anaid: Wow, this is huge.

You stare in awe at the huge room. There are various carvings and written words on the walls. In the room, there are three pedestals, each with a box on them. There is a slab of stone in front of them with something written in troll Chinese.

Talpi: There’s stuff written here, but I can’t read troll Chinese!

Anaid: Perhaps we should just leave it to chance.

You close your eyes and point at one of the boxes at random. You the box you picked is green.

Anaid: Well go for it.

You stare at the green box. You use a claw to slowly open it. Once it’s fully opened, you flinch as you expect something to happen.

Talpi: Uh…I guess it’s the right…

Before you can finish your sentence, you hear a high, pitched scream likes nails on a chalkboard come from the box and you try to cover your ears with your good claw. That is the most awful sound you’ve ever heard.

That sound! That horrid sound! It’s reverberating through your whole body. It’s so high pitched that your fangs and your left horn shatter at the noise.

Anaid: Make it stop! Make it stop!

You want to close the box, but one arm is numb while the other is covering your ears. You remember that you have a tail and you use that to slam the box shut and the screaming stops.

Talpi: Oh gog, that was terrible…oh no Annie, your horn!

You stare at your matesprit in distress.

Talpi: Dammit…when this is all done, I’ll craft you a new horn, I promise!

You then stare at another box, which is red You are very reluctant to open it, you don’t want to cause harm to your matesprit again.
